In 1997 I was looking for a new saw and the local Homelite/Husqvarna Dealer had new red Super XL Homelites for $349.00. My dad bought a new Blue Super XL in 1971 for $129.00 at the same dealer.
He also had a two-man Lombard G8 saw with a Homelite engine for $50 and it ran. I bought them both. But he also had an EZ for $100, a C51 for $100 and a Super Wiz for $150, a 5-30 for $150 and all looked like they'd been laying in water. I bought the Poulan Pro and the Lombard two-man saw, but left the rest. Too bad, I really wanted the 5-30.
