I determined it wasn't working by the simple fact that the ui menus (items, magic, map, etc are exactly the same as vanilla skyrim. Y'all have been super helpful. I'm gonna do more digging after work and see if I can't determine the issue. I did notice however, that the SkyUI folder within the mod location was layered - if that makes sense.
